SHIPPING
INTERNATIONAL DUTIES & TAXES
International shipments may be subject to duties and taxes depending on the item being shipped and the countries of the sending and receiving parties. Payment for all duties and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer or receiving party at the time of delivery.
For United States-bound deliveries: As of August 29, 2025, the U.S. de minimis exemption for low-value international packages has ended. All packages shipped from Japan to the U.S. are now subject to U.S. customs processing.
Informational Materials Exemption: AMPED JAPAN classifies CDs, Blu-rays, DVDs, vinyl records, books, magazines, scores and posters as "Informational Materials" under HTSUS 9903.01.31, which are exempt from U.S. reciprocal tariffs under current CBP guidance. We apply this classification to qualifying shipments at the time of export. Final determination is made by U.S. Customs and Border Protection at the time of import.
If you are shopping from Canada, the UK, Australia, Asia or elsewhere, this U.S. policy does not affect your orders. Your local import thresholds remain unchanged at this time.

CARRIERS
International orders are shipped via DHL Express, Japan Post EMS or Japan Post Airmail. Japan domestic orders are shipped via Japan Post, Sagawa or Yamato Transport.
SHIPPING TIME & METHODS
Orders (not icluding pre-orders) are processed and shipped in 3-4 business days.
When you choose DHL or JAPAN POST EMS as your preferred shipping method, shipments usually arrive in 3-5 business days from the date of shipment.
When you choose JAPAN POST AIRMAIL of FLAT RATE COURIER as your preferred shipping method, shipments usually arrive in 7-14 business days or more from the date of shipment. While we do not actively reccomend this shipping method, If you do not need to receive your order quickly, then it is a reasonable choice.
Japan Domestic orders usually arrive in 1-3 days.
SHIPMENT TRACKING
You can track your order with the tracking information provided in your shipment notification e-mail or by logging in to your account on ampedjapan.com
If the carrier’s tracking link for your order is not showing activity or movement for more than 10 business days, please contact Customer Service to investigate.
SHIPPING TO A P.O. BOX or APO/FPO ADDRESS
If shipping to a P.O. Box or APO/FPO address, you must select Japan Post. Please note transit times will vary.
UNDELIVERABLE PACKAGES
In the event of undeliverable packages the purchaser is responsible for the shipping costs to and from the delivery address. In the case that an undeliverable item is returned to us, the purchaser will receive a refund for the purchase, less shipping costs.
CHANGING SHIPPING ADDRESS
Shipping addresses cannot be changed. We will only ship to the shipping address entered when the order was originally placed.
LOST OR STOLEN PACKAGES
We know carrier issues and delays can happen. We find that some carriers may scan a package as “Delivered” when it is still out for delivery and will sometimes physically deliver the parcel within the next four business days.
After 4 business days, if your order is showing as "Delivered” by the carrier, and you have still not located your package, and you have checked the area surrounding your delivery address please contact Customer Service for assistance.
Please note, AMPED JAPAN is not liable for missing packages marked delivered. If you believe your package was mis-delivered, we recommend filing a claim with the carrier directly. At this time, we're not currently set up for reshipment orders or exchanges and require that a new order is placed with the returned funds.
